A delightful Edge With Western Maude

Western Maude has been releasing singles throughout the better part of 2020 all leading up to her EP entitled Slow Burn.

Each song dropped seems to have a feel all it's own and ventures into a different style of indie-pop.

With a colorful array of sounds and aesthetics, Western Maude has begun to brandish her own staple sound blending fuzztone electric guitars with ambient synth pads and swirling pop vocals performed with passion and heart.

The songs all showcase this young songwriters vivacious knack for pumping out quite amazing pop songs that bring other genres in and out at free will.

These songs do have a certain freedom to them and her infusion of classic and new school sounds make for a fun sonic journey.

"Little Eyes" is a virtual pop dreamscape and boasts a very 90's undertone along with a walking bassline and sultry vocals that allure more and more.

"Late Night TV" has a great ambience and sounds like a song from an underground 70's film you maybe watched once as a kid.

"Spending Time With Jade" is endless pop fun complete with addicting keys and excellent melodic hooks.

Both of those tracks are part of her Slow Burn EP which is a trip to listen to as a whole.

Western Maude is her own thing and that says a lot. Art created without the walls that hold back freedom is important and possibly the best form of art there is.

Every song has an edge to it.

Western Maude is incredibly worth a listen.
