WIESINGER "Doom Scroller" and More
Our featured release for this week is by a group dubbed Wiesinger who just gave us a new single called "Doom Scroller" which is a track that delves into the admissions and self-loathing of doom scrolling itself and the song forges a heavy environment but remains a little humorous while talking about the subject and the music has a toughness to it but calls back to heavy rock and hints towards industrial music of decades passed but gives all of this a refresher.
Wiesinger is a group that brings together husband and wife along with friends and has been making avant-garde pop and rock music along with videos for quite some time.
"Doom Scroller" is among the latest releases from this project but we did go back and watch some music videos for some previous releases as well and have found that with every song released, there is a touch of a new approach and different influences brought into play that lets each song be its own thing.
Songs like "Wonderlove" have a much brighter and more colorful feel to them that even brings in this sole pop and R&B flavor and the music video did an outstanding job of showcasing their personalities.
Having a husband and wife duo creating music like this is a bit rare and they certainly keep on top of making sure they bring an element of fire and a bursting pop style.
Another great music video I watched was for a song called "Just Give Up" which felt more robust and which is a trait that happens in a lot of their songs including "Doom Scroller".
The chorus of a lot of the music released has impact so you remember it down the line.
These songs are very radio-friendly and it's funny because "Doom Scroller" hits a little differently even though it's still pop music it has a little bit of a darker tone.
The song still carries that Wiesinger approach to pop music which is taking a great formula for the genre and twisting it to their will.
"Doom Scroller" is a song to listen to first and if you go to the Wiesinger Website or YouTube you can hear and watch more music and videos along with learning about the group itself.
I would also say to go to their Spotify account and jam out to that.
Either way there's plenty to drink in from Wiesinger and there unique pop frequency.
