A Warm Single From Will Rainier and Jen Garrett

The latest release from Will Rainier is a wonderfully personal track that displays plenty of heart and an Americana songwriting approach that comes through with a youthful undertone but a maturity in songwriting which is a beautiful mix all in all.
"Are You Waving Goodbye" is a heartfelt duet with Jen Garrett and together their voices melt into each other wonderfully and everything creates this atmosphere that you can swim through.
Throughout the track, you get a few layers to peel back and the sense of an almost live performance feel behind everything as the two of them really have a way of feeding off of each other throughout the track.
The instrumentation is absolutely lush and dynamic with lap Steels and excellent guitar tones and you get this full band feel from it but what's most important is the character that the track actually displays which is part of why it's so addictive.
There's something very personal about this song as well and it feels like it comes from someplace completely genuine as the two of them sing harmonies and create this warmth and feeling of welcome.
There are elements about this track that make it feel like it's an instant classic in a way and this is something you don't get too often but when you do get it it has a wonderful way of wrapping itself around you.
It's not often that you get a single that feels like a warm hug from a loved one so it's very refreshing to hear it and it also just sort of makes you feel good.
There's something about this truck that makes you appreciate your friends and loved ones a little bit more because you get that vibe.
The video that accompanies the single is also great because it shows a little bit more of their character and presence as well both being natural singers obviously, and interlaced work with each other on this track also feels completely natural.
This is a song to relax to and it sort of makes you think a little bit and reflect to an extent.
I love songs that make you think or make you feel or even make you reflect in such a way because that's when a song is giving you what it was meant to.
Now, songs are taken in differently from person to person but Will and Jen are able to portray a message and give it this sort of cinematic tonality to wear you end up thinking of your own people.
And that's part of the beauty of music like this. The way you relate to a song says a lot about you and this is how the right songs speak to the right people.
A beautiful release from Will Rainier and Jen Garrett.
