Bella Gate Releases A Beaufiul Album
A fresh album release from Bella Gate brings on a soiree of honesty in the form of robust and beautifully woven songs that all feel like they come from chapters in the artist's life and with that comes personality.
If there was one word that I could give the Gateway album, it would be exactly that. Personality.
The record is oozing with character and Bella gives pieces of herself with every track which is why you end up feeling so connected when the record is over.
These songs range in style and approach but a lot of them have a piano-based set of songs, some with beautiful and orchestrated string sections, while others have a more indie rock or pop coating to them which is something I enjoyed because it breaks up the album quite a little bit and shows different sides of her as a person and how she delivers her artistry.
Listening to these songs can cause memories of your own to pop into your head at times and I feel like that is also extremely connective. This is mostly because she can be so descriptive and honest with her lyrics that you end up feeling like certain songs were written just for you even though you know they weren't.
It takes a certain level of bravery to be this honest on a record and have each of these songs really serve as a way to let out emotional drive or inner thought.
But she does it beautifully and her approach is graceful along with a lot of attention to how the songs are arranged.
You can most certainly hear a lot of classic piano pop and classic rock influence in some of these songs along with this almost theatrical underbelly which is also something that I enjoy quite a bit because it builds even more on that personality and that character that the album comes along with.
What she does with her vocals is powerful because the singing on the forefront has soul just bursting out of every she also uses her vocals for backing tracks and those float through the ethers of some of the songs and feel lush and angelic at times.
I love an album that I can listen to and know that every note and every lyric came from someplace authentic.
There's something about that that lets you get engulfed in the record and it's unfolding.
You absolutely must listen to the entire record if you're going to jump into this one.
I will now tell you why of course.
The first reason is because, as I mentioned earlier, these songs are almost like chapters in her life in different ways and so to me they sort of interconnect and if you miss out on two or three songs from the record then you're not getting the whole story or the whole picture.
Furthermore, this record has a lot of different styles going on even though there is one confluent staple feel for how she does her thing across the album, there's still diversity and different ways that she puts the songs out there along with bringing in different genres.
If you listen to a few tracks then sure, you might get somewhat of a gist of what the record holds but, you won't get the full range of the entire album and that's a big range.
This is an album that was meant to be an album. You're not supposed to just listen to a few tracks from this one. You're supposed to listen to it from beginning to end and really so get in the way it was meant to be.
This is something I understand and I'm going to go ahead and suggest you do exactly that.
This is an hour or so long so set aside a little time and go for it because it will definitely pull you away from your surroundings and put you in this other person's life for a little while and it's fun because it's like watching a movie or reading a book.
You get situations, feelings, emotion, and everything else that comes along with having character and personality.
Anyway, I digress.
Take a deep dive into this record as soon as you can and see how this one affects you.
I bet you'll connect with it.
