A Powerful Rock Single From Derek Adam
A single release from Derek Adam comes through with a bit of an inspiring note as it gives off a powerful and driving rock tonality that feels cinematic and ever-growing as the song plays on.
"Unbroken" has some important messages in its underbelly and if you pay attention to those the track really has a different way of getting your blood pumping because it is about fighting through certain kinds of struggles and finding the power to break through.
There's a lot about this track that gives me somewhat of a nostalgic feeling at times and I feel like that has to do with the fact that the track feels almost like a montage song in the 90s film for example.
I love this aspect about it because it only adds to that character that the song has which is very full-bodied and very up in front so there's a lot to get attached to right from the get-go with this track.
I enjoy the subtle drive and electric energy that this track portrays because it gives you everything that you want and hits all the sweet spots for a track of this nature including a perfect guitar solo that comes through passionately performed and goes right alongside the dynamic balance of this track and it's well thought out arrangement.
The song definitely does have that cinematic atmosphere to it and everything about this has a certain level of heart and is Tastefully done in terms of its delivery so you get a lot of the best parts of different worlds here from that cinematic and Theatrical balance, to the rock guitars and the energy, there's a lot to soak in with this song.
You can tell this was written and performed by someone who has a real love for his craft and I don't just mean guitar playing when I say that, or singing for that matter.
What I mean of course is songwriting because that's really where the strong point is here.
Again, don't get me wrong, the guitar work is outstanding and the vocals are well performed and give you those hooks and melodies that stick with your head for hours after the song has ended but, it's the songwriting that hits hard and leaves that mark.
One of the things that I thought about while listening to this track was the fact that it felt almost like the soundtrack to a chapter in my own life at a certain point so if this hit me in that particular manner, I'm sure it would do the same for others and that feeling that I got is not something that happens often so to have it was very refreshing.
Upon listening to the single I had to take a little bit of a deep dive into Derek's back catalog and I was pleasantly surprised at some of the releases and how you can follow his evolution as an artist and probably as a person as well because of how his music reflects personality.
There's a lot to grab onto in terms of his releases and each one shows a little bit of a different side of that personality and of him as an artist.
This was a sort of fist-in-the-air sing-along rock single that delivered a great attitude and this portrayal of positivity has a wonderful way of sticking with you.
Check this one out as soon as you can and turn it up.
