A Single and Set of Remix Release from Devin James Fry

A fresh release from Devin James Fry gives a set of remixes that redefine the essence of a track, each one balancing the persona and character delivered on the track but bringing something fresh to the table whether it be a harsher sound, an electronic feel, or something completely outside the box.
The Half Pit Half Bloodbath & Remixes record delivers a soiree of edgy, animated, and addictive tonalities and it's endlessly fun with plenty of surprises around its corners.
While each rendition has a different approach, there are a few that hit hard and leave a mark. One of those is the "Atonal Stimulant Remix", which breeds more of a high-energy and sonically impressive soundscape.
There's something about this track that has an amazing build to it and beckons classic house and techno in terms of reaching that climactic point and having it feel sort of explosive.
I like this version a lot because again, that sonic presence and drive is outstanding here. It brings some of that old-school feel to a new platform and really bumps.
As the record unfolds and you hear these different versions you start to get a handle for expecting certain staples but also expecting the unexpected simultaneously.
This is part of the fun of the album to be honest.
Versions like the "ALX6-106", is one of the more outside-the-box versions. This mix has a quirkier and more colorful approach with experimental sounds and cones in on some of the unique vocal approaches of the track.
The "Black Plague Remix" is one of my favorite versions because it combines some of the harder-hitting elements when it comes to the beat and certain edgy synthesizers and keys but also has a drippy vastness to it. There are a lot of experimental effects on the beats and some of those keys that make it unique but a sort of its own atmosphere.
Again, each of these versions and renditions is completely different. There are certain aspects that you hope for and can expect but there's going to be a lot of unexpected elements throughout the record's play-through.
A lot of the tracks are insanely danceable and addictive. It's difficult to listen to many songs from this record without wanting to get up and move your body. It always has this hard sort of beat no matter which rendition it is.
This is part of those elements that call out to the classic house and techno approach.
Throughout the entire record, you have several approaches that blend and combine a multitude of electronic genres and the album as a whole has something very special and unique to offer.
You don't listen to just one or two versions. You listen to the whole thing through. This is the only way to get a grasp on what the record can give you.
The release spans 11 Tracks and it's a lot of fun to crank this.
I listened to the release with headphones on and it was one of the best times I've had in a while. I got sucked into everything and by the time I got halfway through the record, I was curious to hear what the next track will bring.
I have to admit, I haven't seen too many releases of this nature.
Yes, there have been plenty of singles with a bunch of remixes done on one release before, but this has a special approach and brings together different aesthetics with the same roots.
They all still grab onto that personality. They all still deliver that character.
The music video that accompanies the maing version of the track is stellar, showcasing some of the message behind the lyrics further.
Some of them are bigger and more intense while others are more animated. Either way, you are going to get something that is going to make you want to get up and dance or just pull you in so that you have to finish the song.
This was excellent and I suggest once more that you listen to the entire thing from beginning to end. Just go straight through it because it's an absolute blast.
This is all released today so now is the time.
Check this release out as soon as you can and keep an eye out for Devin James Fry to see what else he has coming up after this.
