Hunter Ellis and Brodie Drop A Tasteful Indie-Pop Powerhouse
Hunter Ellis recently teamed up with Brodie for a wonderfully cinematic and engulfing single that features some unique sounds and cross a series of natural and digital sounds to go along with beautifully performed harmony vocals to create something that breeds an atmosphere all its own.
"The Turn" is a tasteful and gracefully put together single that feels like a memory of your own playing back in your head.
It's got this powerful and impactful feel to it and the changes are heavily anthemic and can really just take you to a different place all together as the songs keeps building in intensity.
There are both folk and indie-pop elements to this track that help it stand its own ground and set itself apart from the herd.
And it totally works.
It's a gorgeous release and has a way of wrapping itself around you and letting you just get washed away with the sound of it all.
The vocals are soothing and vast and the entire song endsd up having a much bigger soundscape than you initially think at first anyway.
But it all melts together into one wonderful sound and that sound has a way of bringing a wave of calm over you.
It's like when you have a great dream and you sort of wake up, but then close your eyes and try your best ot get back there as fast as you can so you can continue that same dream.
Sometimes it actually works, sometimes it doesn't. Either way you still try and it's that feeling that this single gives you.
This was excellent in every sense of the word and really gives a lot to work with.
Come soak this one in, you'll be happy you did.
