Luke Woltanski Album Premier
A brand spanking new album from Luke Woltanksi brings a great palette of smoothly performed rock and acoustic folk complete with harmonica and a beautifully woven style of songwriting that allows songs to build and grow.
There are songs on the Before We Part album that go places you didn't really expect and it all has this down home familiarity that at times, feels like a warm hug. Like one of the singles "Tin Roof". It just sounds calming and you can let it flow around you and almost wash you away.
There are soft and subtle ballad-esque tracks with thick drums and a vast feel, there are classic rock infused tracks, and there is plenty of folk rock that all just hits you the right way.
The record has this soul that makes it addicting and luckily, it's a full length release that gives you stories, descriptive lyrics, and harmonious melodies to go alongside those whole toned guitar sounds.
The album is quite big and really shows the artist's ability to write songs that have maturity and experience while staying very catchy and having a calming but energetic approach.
And when we say energetic, we don't mean hyperactive loudness. We mean an allure. A sort of genuine love for his craft that shines through with almost every note on the release.
It's just nice to hear. To pick up on that love and hear it come through with strength.
Lovers of singer-songwriter, folk, and folk-rock will fall in love with the songs on this album and each one has something to offer a little different than the last.
"Tin Roof" is a great place to start but there are so many to dig into that you can just jump around from there.
