Matthew J Van Howe Releases A New Single
A new single release from Matthew J Van Howe brings together some wonderfully outlandish textures to create something that is able to swirl around you and create vivid colors and sounds that you get sucked into quite quickly.
"Cincodecinco" takes a lively and high energy set of beats and keys along with synths and sounds that blend into an almost digital soundscape and brings in hard rock and alternative guitars and the combination of those two factors together make the song so fun that you can't turn away.
This is an incredibly experimental and sporadic single and it takes you on this sort of journey that you have to shake off when it's over.
This was touched with hints of psychedelia and the essence of a mad scientist if you will and that factor makes it addicting.
This has a way of breaking down walls and boundaries to do something that was meant to happen freely.
And this song does have an openness and a freeing aspect of it along with a hyperactive element that infects you.
Along with its explosiveness it also comes with calming sections that slide in and blend these little breaths of fresh air in there and the way that it's formatted when you first hear it sounds erratic, but upon a second listen you really get a feel for how the song was actually built and arranged and it's borderline genius.
A track like this is not something you throw together right quick. There's a lot of attention to detail here and a lot of attributes about it that tell me that this took time to piece together and when it did a creature was born in the form of a song.
Now, if you really want to get a great grasp for this track visually you have to watch the video which is pretty trippy and exacerbates that experimental and slightly psychedelic vibe.
But this whole damn thing was a lot of fun and it's definitely refreshing to hear something that is this open.
