A New Single From Medical Maps
A new release from Medical Maps gives a very cinematic and emotionally driven backbone that has the ability to sort of engulf you and take you along for the ride.
"Modern Magnets & Miracles" shines with this particular vastness and has the ability to make you think as certain sorts of memories pop in and out of your head.
The track creates a weird connection between the listener and the song itself that is hard to put your finger on but I think it has a lot to do with the arrangement and melodies In the progression of the track itself.
They hit these certain notes that you don't expect when they come.
It takes you off guard a little bit but it's so addicting because it makes you feel and I think that when you feel something from a song it makes it more addictive.
This track is lush and has this full bodied palette instrument wise and the vocals play out as the most emotional part of it as there are these harmonies that help the words become more connective.
This track is something of a duet as male and female vocals come together to create this impactfulness and as it all happens the song itself starts to build in an orchestral way which also gives it this immense drive.
There's a great edginess undertone in this track that you have to almost peel back layers to find but when you do it sort of slaps you in the face.
There's actually more than meets the eye when first listening to this track so for me, I actually listen to it a few times just to be able to soak everything in properly.
I think that cinematic feeling is really huge here and the song does an amazing job of being able to grow and build into something that's more intense than when it started.
Definitely a beautiful and gracefully performed single.
