NaderGator Drops A Vast New Single
A new single from NaderGator brings out a fresh blend of vintage synth-pop and indie pop vastness and mends those two elements to create something that has a very cinematic feeling atmosphere but it also comes with a great drive and this sort of open forward moving flow as well.
"Gone" utilizes classic synths and keys to create that nostalgic soundscape and this does indeed make that old-school synthwave sort of tonality, but he also blends in all kinds of other sounds and notes that are scattered throughout the song's ether and these are the things that help create that vastness and that sort of freeing feeling that the song delivers.
The drive and little hints of edginess that the song portrays work very well and all the layers of keys and since along with that beat all managed to complement each other in a way that lets the song breathe.
I absolutely adore how he went for this vintage pop sound and really nailed it because the whole aesthetic is perfected with this track and you have to be a real fan of that genre to be able to pull that off.
Everything right down to the mix of this track was really intricate and there was a lot of attention to detail paid during its creation and process I'm sure, because they're little things in the mix that make this song really work.
For example, some of the synths have different levels of reverb on them and this gives the whole track wetter and sort of big feel which works like a charm.
The vocals are distanced as well but also provide this beautiful inner layer of melodies that give the song an additional ambiance and those aren't sitting on top of the song. They are literally in the middle of the mix as if they were an instrument themselves and I love how that's done.
This was a robust but still smooth track created by someone who has a real knack for building a sound and presence that have a bit of a sonic drive but is not over the top and still feels cinematic and lush in its own way.
By the end of the song there are layers of these notes, sounds, textures, and keys that are bouncing off of each other and feeding into each other in the whole thing just creates this electric sort of energy that feels good to listen to.
I grew up loving movies in the '80s and straight into the 90s.
Listening to this single gives me flashes of memories of sitting in front of a TV cross-legged on the floor watching an old film in the '80s and it's not about any particular film, but more the aesthetic of the soundtrack or score at times that would go along with those films.
NaderGator really knows how to capture these kinds of sounds and he created something new with it, which is amazing also because it sounds like something that could have been on the radio during that time as well.
This was wonderfully woven, beautifully built, and hits with a perfect balance of color, edginess, energy, charisma, ambience, and captured something that brings me back.
Take a deep dive into this track when you get a chance because it's well worth your time and while you're at it, I would seriously consider digging into some of the artist's back catalog on Spotify especially as there is a heavy number of single releases for you to swim through.
