Featured Album: Hot Chicken Wisdom by Rich Mahan
Rich Mahan released a full length album recently and it does a heck of a job showing his amazing talent for blues guitar and songwriting.
The record is laced with some darinf humor but it works for the approach of the record wihtout a doubt.
The songs are total classics for the most part and Mahan certainly knows how to get a guitar lick across with a natural insinct and air about it.
The release is full of memorable singles and was written as an ode to a friend which really helps put things into perepective.
"Hot Chicken Wisdom is dedicated to the memory of Brian Harrison, good friend and producer who passed away after the completion of Blame Bobby Bare. Brian was the person who introduced me to hot chicken and first took me to the OG Prince's Hot chicken Shack when I moved to Nashville. He had a way of looking at everything and distilling it down to a humorous perspective that usually provided some valuable insight. I told someone at his memorial that he had hot chicken wisdom, and the title for the album was born right there." - Rich Mahan
We's suggest going for the full record because if you like one song, you're bound to like most of the rest.
This was a great record the whole way through and Rich gave it his all.
