A New EP Released From The Hyperdrive Kittens Shows Outstanding Diversity
The latest from The Hyperdrive Kittens brings out a classic series of punk and pop rock feels that even hit rockabilly at times and is always done with a memorable style to say the least.
The band's new EP feels as genuine as it gets with songs that show range and adaptiveness along with an obviously experienced level of musicianship that carries throughout the entire release.
The record is called The Meow Factor and to really get a strong grasp on what this band is all about you really have to listen to the whole damn thing and not just one song.
As far as each individual song goes, they all stand on their own two legs and give off a personalized Style and approach but as far as the full record goes, it's a whirlwind of addictive and inventive song writing.
The release blasts off with a fun and heavy-handed punk rock single and from there branches off into these other subgenres and styles that have the ability to leave you and all a bit.
What's perfectly clear is that this isn't their first rodeo and if you check out a bit of the band's history you will get a feel for why and how they're able to write with such range and dynamic diversity.
The main thing is that this is a really fun EP and there's something in it for just about everyone.
Plus this was done with some heart and that counts for something.
I would suggest that you check out the full catalog of releases from The Hyperdrive Kittens starting with The Meow Factor. But definitely don't stop there as they have plenty more to offer.
From digging into this band you get a great urge to go see them live and if you're in the right place at the right time that just might be possible for you.
But in the meantime check this EP out as it's extremely well performed and written.
We hope to hear more from them soon enough.
