A New Single From Wild Heaven
A brand new single release from Wild Heaven brings out a righteous and high-octane rock banger with elements of alternative and riot rock embedded in its veins as it comes through with a hard-hitting attitude and loads of pure character that add to the drive of the song itself but also get you attached to it.
"What You're Looking For" is a fist in the air sing along that you can either dance around the living room to, headbang, or air guitar to at any given time and it feels awesome to listen to as it brings elements of punk and garage rock along with so much more all into its atmosphere.
What really grabs you about this track is its unbridled energy that almost feels like it's a live performance almost as if the track was actually recorded live on the floor and everyone involved is just feeding off of each other the entire time.
Even if I'm incorrect about that aspect in particular, the energy captured on this record makes you want to see them live because it must just be intense
The attitude and animated vocal approach hit perfectly and let the entire song balance that line between grittiness and catchiness because of its edgy undertone but also its colorful and fun pop overtone.
There's a lot about this track that just feels good to listen to and you can tell that everyone is having an immensely good time doing it because the guitars are just being slammed, the drums are being pounded, and everyone's just having a blast.
This is the kind of thing that you can hear in the music itself when it happens and that infects you and gives you a certain kind of energy and vivacious feel as well.
I adore this about the track because you don't get it often so when it comes along it's rejuvenating in a way.
The riffs are great and the guitar tones are spot on the entire time, and again have that great balance between a punk rock feel and a garage rock feel but also this poppy tonality as well that never goes away and this is part of its endless character.
I also thoroughly enjoyed the fact that they wrote a song in such a way that it sounds almost like it could have been done anywhere from the late 70s through now because it has all these influences of classic rock and all these other genres in there that feed into the song and that aesthetic is fun and get your blood pumping.
Even the base tone throughout the track has this little bit of fuzziness and twang in its sound so that the punk undertone is even more evident and this is something that also helps push the song past the envelope just enough to where it needs to be.
It's one of those tracks where everyone involved is so into it that they push each other to a place where if one thing was missing or a little bit different it wouldn't have had the same impact.
This track was badass from beginning to end and showed color, character, heart, endless energy, charisma, electricity, and a real knack for writing catchy songs that bounce around in your head for hours after they've ended.
Definitely check this out when you can and do not be afraid to turn it up.
